Debra Brown and John Smith
Debra and John are excited to announce their wedding to be held in beautiful Bermuda on August 4, 2008! They would like to invite you to join them in this tropical paradise as they exchange their vows.
The Bride
Debra was born in Boston MA, and grew up in Cambridge. After graduating from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, Debra and four friends decided to take a weeks vacation to celebrate. After looking at many islands, they agreed on Bermuda. After returning from her getaway, Debra resumed her education at the University of Miami. Upon completing her degree in architecture, Debra accepted an offer to work for Vandalay Industries in Boston MA, a well known industrial architecture firm. She is currently living in South Boston.
The Groom
John was born in Southville, TN. Growing up on a farm, John dreamed of the city, and after graduating from Southbend Regional High School, he was accepted to MIT in Boston MA. During his junior year, John and 15 of his fraternity brothers spent a week in Bermuda for Spring Break. After relaxing in Bermuda, John returned to MIT to finish his degree in Mechanical Engineering, and is currently a consultant in Boston. John just purchased a home in Charlestown, MA.
The Bride & Groom
The setting was the gorgeous beach at the Elbow Beach Hotel in Bermuda. The night before, Julie (Debra's best friend) had met a guy in the hotel lobby. Since he was from Boston, they had a lot in common, and decided to meet on the beach the next day. As "the girls" layed out trying to get a tan, John and "the guys" were walking out onto the beach. It turns out that the guy that Julie met was John's best friend Chris. John and Debra became friends, and agreed to meet again when they both returned to Boston. John and Debra dated for 2 years. On their two year anniversary, John took Debra on a moonlight horse drawn carriage ride through the cobblestone streets of Boston, and asked her to marry him. As we all know she said Yes! John and Debra have chosen to return to the place where they first met to get married. They look forward to seeing you all there, and as the Maid of Honor, I also look forward to the trip, and join everyone in wishing John and Debra the best of luck! -Danielle O'Maura-
